It’s been a loooooonggg time since I’ve written here or participated in Five Minute Fridays, but here I am after receiving an email about the 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes led by Kate Motaung. So the goal is to write for five minutes on the given writing prompt.
Time starts now:
Ohhhh, I love this word, ‘door’. So many things to pull from this. You can be the door that opens up to an opportunity for someone else. In other words, you’re their blessing, their answered prayer. Maybe you’re the door that closes on someone when you realize that they no longer have a place in your space, OR, what you have to offer… they’re not ready to receive. Delayed blessing.
On the other hand… recently head a sermon from Pastor John Gray called “Get the Door”. Maybe God has an open door for you, but you’re trying to take people through it
with you that are not meant to go with you. There are many doors with your name on it, but as long as we limit ourselves, we never get to experience the joy of opening them, and seeing what God has in store. We all have a door and we’re a door for someone else. We all have to get in position in order for the next to receive. Are you willing to walk through your door, so you can open another door for someone else? (23 seconds left… )
