It’s been a loooooonggg time since I’ve written here or participated in Five Minute Fridays, but here I am after receiving an email about the 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes led by Kate Motaung. So the goal is to write for five minutes on the given writing prompt.
Time starts now:
Help!!! I’ve found… not excluding myself… that many who stand strong in the public’s eye, are crying for help on the inside. But because people consider them the strong one, or the one who de-escalates a situation, they often have no one to turn to, or that one person to vent, cry to.
Because I know what that feels like, how can I HELP you? Are you needing someone to vent to without judgment, need a neutral ear to just listen? Do you need help breaking free from the expectations of others? Do you often wish someone would just show up to check on you and see how you’re doing instead of being the dumping ground for others? If so, I’m available… times up… via text (501.764.2881) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Know that you’re not alone, and it’s okay to want and need help! You weren’t meant to do it alone.
