It’s been a loooooonggg time since I’ve written here or participated in Five Minute Fridays, but here I am after receiving an email about the 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes led by Kate Motaung. So the goal is to write for five minutes on the given writing prompt.

I’m remembering a sermon I heard this morning from Pastor John Gray… Quit treating God as a common god. We serve a God who is extraordinary who pours out extraordinary blessings, not common blessings. We also have to be careful that we’re not treating our gifts as common gifts or simply ordinary. I wonder how many are okay with being un-common, meaning you don’t mind breaking the mold, coloring outside the lines, or making your own rules as you go. Running short on time…
