This quote takes me back to a dear friends funeral at which I spoke a few words. I remember saying to the family/friends in attendance to remember her by paying it forward what they saw her do. Whether it was encouraging others, being positive in spite of her illness, or serving others… Let us consider how to take the inspiration of others and pay it forward.
I’m also reminded of those who have helped me become the woman I am today. I could never repay them all or for all the sacrifices they made for me. However, what I do try to do is live a life expressive of my appreciation for all they poured into me. It’s easy to say “thank you”. It’s good to say “thank you”. But how much more can we actually “show” appreciation not just to people, but ultimately to God.
I’d love to hear from you. How do you express your gratitude beyond words? (at home, community, workplace).
