30 Days of Gratitude: Day 19
One thing I can share is there is peace in giving thanks, in creating an atmosphere of gratitude.

Join me Monday morning at 10 am, cst as I continue the “Thankful” series. Last week I shared about being thankful for rejection. Sometimes we get what we asked for at our own expense… which lends one to question how to be thankful for the problem.

30 Days of Gratitude: Day 17
The first thought that comes to mind is people/relationships. It’s a daily choice to remember NOT to take someone for granted. Show of appreciation doesn’t have to always be grand. A simple ‘thank you’, a tight hug, or kiss on the cheek goes a long way.
When it comes to things/situations, during your time of self-reflection, it’s good to consider what happened during your day from the time you awoke till the time you decided to wind down for the night. What made you smile? What did you not handle well that you make a mental note to be mindful of next time?
You know… We have so many people and things to be thankful and appreciative for even in the midst of all the craziness, the violence, the hatred… Take time each night to reflect on the goodness of God, to acknowledge how good you have it, even still!!!

30 Days of Gratitude: Day 16
I know it’s so easy to think negatively. Finding the blessing in everything, in every hour, requires a bit of training, or discipline, if you will. It’s the choice to see the good in someone or something and still give thanks to God for whatever the experience may be.
Remember, as a believer, in every day life, corporate settings, etc. you’re an example of Christ, even when you may not want or try to be. Your thankful heart can be contagious. Your thankful heart becomes a seed, even if you don’t see the fruit of that which you have planted.

30 Days of Gratitude: Day 14
Let’s be honest. You’re likely not to forget, but forgiveness is possible and highly encouraged. I know for many, this can be a process. But I encourage you to see the blessing even in the midst… Annnnd to also be honest with yourself.
Now, you don’t necessarily have to tell the person “thank you”. But thank God for the experience. I recently talked about something similar in Episode 6 of Morning Breakthrough with Koko: Be Thankful for What Was.
The reason you can be thankful for the experience is because (1) It taught you something, (2) It became (could be) the platform for your purpose, and (3) It showed you the how the hand/grace of God appeared in your life.
When you reach the point of true forgiveness, you don’t have to remind the person of what happened. You don’t have to always talk about it, bring it up in an argument or hang it over their heard. Over time, there’s a mental note to be thankful, more discerning, and even loving. Allow yourself time to heal, learn, and grow. Also, extend yourself a bit of grace… sometimes the person to be forgiven is self…

30 Days of Gratitude: Day 13
How true of a statement this is. Often when I’m in a blah mood, I start thanking God and yes, within minutes, I’m feeling much better with a new outlook on life.

10 am, CST, tomorrow. Tune in to the LIVE radio show as I share how and why to look at rejection from a more positive perspective so we’re not stuck in the mentality of coulda, woulda, shoulda..
