Admittedly, I still have these moments… or thoughts rather. Can’t necessarily stop thoughts from coming, but you can control how long they last.
Two verses that always come to memory to keep me from going under:
1 Samuel 16:1 “The Lord said to Samuel, ‘How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way.'”
2 Corinthians 10:5 “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
The more time you commit to growing your relationship with God, the more equipped you become to combat the tricks of the enemy (including self). Something key to remember is what you have is all you need for the season you’re in. What’s gone or passed was for your previous season. So, yes, rejoice for what you have now because that’s what you need for your current season. Trust when it’s time to transition, Jehovah Jireh will keep providing all you need to fulfill your purpose.
